Debra Manuel’s connection with Admirals Cove began more than 25 years ago when her mother and step-father, Betty and Robert Godfrey, were looking for a waterfront community that could accommodate their 65 foot sailboat, Destiny. The Godfreys had just completed a three year around-the-world sailing adventure on their 65-foot vessel and were searching for a home that could capture their wanderlust. After looking at many communities in Palm Beach County and across South Florida, Admirals Cove in Jupiter was the only one that could compare to the metaphysical wonderment, beauty, and serenity they experienced on their worldwide voyage. Over twenty-five years, thousands of miles traveled, and many memories later, Betty Godfrey still calls Admirals Cove home and has no desire to live anywhere else. Quoting her late husband, Robert, Betty said, “I’ve sailed around the world, traveled almost every continent and even own a second home up north. I could live anywhere I want yet, every time I enter the gates at Admirals Cove, I know that this is my forever home.”

According to Debra Manuel, a NV Realty Group sales professional and Admirals Cove specialist, the neighborhood’s luxury lifestyle and waterfront location is what separates it from other gated communities in this region. “At Admirals Cove, homeowners do not have to choose between a private golf community or a waterfront one: they get both,” says Debra. Admirals Cove sets itself apart from the other tony communities in the area. With its members-only Yacht Club and Marina, which accommodates up to 130-feet vessels, and championship golf course, no other community comes close. Providing quick access to the Atlantic Ocean via the Jupiter Inlet, Admirals Cove Yacht Club and Marina is also an inclement weather refuge for yachts. The full-service marina includes 24-hour security, dock attendants, a shop, and a café.

For golf enthusiasts, Admirals Cove offers 45 championship holes with impeccable greens and incredible scenery amid Florida’s natural preserve and tall pine trees. Designed by Robert van Hagge, the golf course is home to United States Golf Association’s annual U.S. Open Local Qualifier and features top-notch professional golf instructors, club-fitting, the Dartfish Video System, and the SAM putting system. Apart from golfing and yachting, Admirals Cove Club is home to a state-of-the art tennis facility and tennis program, which serves novice and competitive players alike. Additionally, the club has an expansive fitness center, an esteemed salon and spa, five-star dining options, and exercise and wellness programs. “Admirals Cove is a special place because of its diverse population ranging from young professionals with families to retirees, and its array of superior amenities,” says Debra. “Some communities tout a resort lifestyle while Admirals Cover delivers that lifestyle every day. From its luxury spa to gourmet dining, there is no comparable community.”

Over the years, Debra has developed a special bond with the community and her mother’s neighbors. “I began my real estate career in Philadelphia and have been a licensed agent in Florida for more than ten years. One thing I can always assure my clients who are considering purchasing property in Admirals Cove is that their expectations will be exceeded. I’ve never met one disgruntled homebuyer within this gated community. The facilities are continuously maintained and updated, the golf course is exquisite, and the Yacht Club is the finest in Palm Beach County. When it comes to maintenance and details, few neighborhoods come close to Admirals Cove,” explains Debra. Furthermore, new residents quickly become friends with existing ones through the community’s on-going social calendar, which includes events such as sea turtle beach walks, dances, and “docktails.”

As an expert in Admirals Cove real estate, Debra is well versed on the current inventory, prices, and transactions. “My advice for potential buyers is to understand the home diversity; modest condominiums start around $650,000 and fine estates sell for more than $10,000,000,” she says. Debra cautions sellers to understand the market in Admirals Cove is very fluid, and sellers should not settle for bids way below asking price. As an example, Debra recently listed a wood frame for $2.8 million. Other agents and buyers insisted the property was not worth more than two million because it was a frame. “However, I was in tune with the low inventory in that price range, some recent sales that were not yet closed, and knew the home had unique water frontage,” she recalls. As a result, she secured a buyer close to the original asking price.

“I love my job,” says Debra. “I love fighting for the best deal for my clients, and I love developing personal relationships that transcend into life-long friendships. As an expert in Admirals Cove real estate, buyers and sellers love that she exceeds their expectations and ensures a smooth real estate transaction.
